Local tips for visiting Fredericksburg in October

  • Use the Oktoberfest Park & Ride. It runs all day between the Gillespie County Fairgrounds and downtown, and beats circling for parking on Main.

  • Book the big weekends early. Oktoberfest (Oct 2-4) and Food & Wine Fest (Oct 22-25) fill hotels, rentals and dinner reservations weeks ahead.
